How to use Monday to quit and stay quit

  • Every Monday, plan for the week ahead—anticipate possible triggers and develop strategies for overcoming them

  • Start the week by celebrating your progress and reminding yourself of your reasons for quitting; join with a Monday quit buddy or start a Monday quit club to get weekly support to help stay on track

  • If you relapse over the weekend, quit again on Monday—that's 52 chances to stay smokefree!

  • Check in every Monday with a quit counselor or a smoke cessation group to get support and advice in sticking with your goal
