A healthy baby is a happy baby. That means you can get more sleep, more time to spend with your partner, and more time for yourself.

New moms often are surprised to learn that their smoking can affect their baby’s health and behavior. Babies of moms (and dads!) who smoke tend to have colic more often, cry more, be fussier, be harder to soothe or quiet, and have more trouble sleeping than babies of smokefree parents.

Babies whose parents are smokefree tend to have fewer:

  • Chest colds and coughs, bronchitis, and pneumonia

  • Breathing problems

  • Ear infections

  • Allergies

  • Upset stomachs

Forever Free for Baby and Me offers practical tips to help you stay smokefree and make life happier and healthier for you, your baby, and your family.
